Fire In The Forest Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Fire In The Forest

Rating: 5.0

The forest weep
For lost of
Its families
In the hands
Of recrudescent red flames

Those trees
You snatched away are
The bullet proof
Of our lives

The palm-wine we drink
The red oil we eat

Those crops
Lie in state burial now

Angry fire
How many more crops
Do you want to assassinate?

Flaming fire in the forest
You are the visitor
Unwanted.
