Finish Line Poem by Amateur Vagabond

Finish Line

Born in last place
Late for the relay

Tripping over the umbilical cord
They forgot to cut

Everyone's always ahead
Sometimes I forget about the race
and walk off into the field following the bugs...birds

But they remind me
again of the race

I must participate
I don't want to race
I don't care who wins
