Finding My Heart Poem by hamish milantano

Finding My Heart

i was left cold and alone,
lost and scared,
i crawled my way into the streets,
street lamps and headlights,
lined my way home,
i wanted something,
to hold on to,
shifting winds,
pushed only memories of you,
i believed that,
you where sitting there at home,
and walking home in suspense,
i found myself at my door,
sneaking my way in,
the suspense built up even more,
i walked through my room,
and saw emptyness,
as my shadow began to loom,
i woke to the touch,
and lay there in thought,
watching my celling starting to dance,
and make an image of your figure,
i whisper gently to myself,
and cry myself to sleep,
i wake to aching wounds,
like a thousand needles,
each with something to prove,
and im growing desperate,
for you healing hands,
and soothing eyes,
i never got to say,
goodbye,
but missing you,
is not worth it,
nor is dreaming of your smile,
im standing in a desert,
drawing your face into the sand,
and watching it fade by,
as the wind continues to blow,
and im sitting here with a smile,
and now no more confused,
your just a fading memory,
all u take is time,
and one day soon,
my heart will be just fine.
