Final Departure. Poem by Sasanka Sekhar Panda

Final Departure.

Life like an octopus
has cuddled me
blinking
with its glaze of death
sucking my blood
in its close embrace.
I lay still
looking at the void
that slowly
engulfing me
with its touch
I am falling into
the dark abyss.
The moment has
ultimately arrived
for final departure.
