Fight Poem by Jess Terry

Fight

If you hold me down,
I will fight,
I will kick and scream,
I will not be forced.

These obscene flowers,
and nail bites,
pressed into my skin,
but I never stopped fighting.

Nails in skin,
fingers pressed to tight,
screams unheard,
Still I will fight.
