Fencing Poem by Dorsey Baker

Fencing

I watch you!
distancing yourself
from me
and I know
we will never
be close
stranger than
strangers
we will always be!
your smile is sly
and you wear
the mask of a false face
you sting me
I fall down
you scorn me
and leave me!
in the rain
begging for mercy!
