Feelings: Undercover Phantom Poem by Margaret Alice

Feelings: Undercover Phantom

Rating: 2.7

Come to think of it, I might be a vampire,
I can’t eat garlic nor stand the sun’s heat;
but do vampires sing - maybe I’m an under-
cover phantom – my mind is scarred enough

Pockmarked by all the meteorites and projectiles
fired by institutes of modern learning at the
vulnerable mind of a little child; nearly destroyed
by the insistence of mainstream science

That mankind is doomed, joining a chorus of
religious voices chanting their sorrows
throughout the ages…
