You should have said
That you didn't like the life I lead
I should have yelled
But knowing you, you would've rebelled

We could've made it all the way
Made it through each and every day
But alas love expires
Because of our desires

Although it was great
I find such feelings are not innate
The past has passed
And I assure you it was a blast

The time has come for a repeat
This time it could be concrete
I will be proven wrong in time
It doesn't matter though, I'm still in my prime
