Feather Of Love Poem by Elliott Paul Woolhouse

Feather Of Love

I see in this dream,
I hear you scream,
They tear you apart,
Attacking your heart,
I run to save you,
They’re chasing me to,
When they start to maul,
I can hear you call,

Away, in the distance,
I hear the resistance,
In this dream,
Why can’t I scream?
I know that I love you,
It’s all that really seems true.

Escaping, can’t do,
I cannot leave you,
Dieing together,
Eagle drops a feather,
A symbol of our love,
From the sky up above,
I said ‘I love you’
As the bird flew,

Away, in the distance,
I hear the resistance,
In this dream,
Why can’t I scream?
I know that I love you,
It’s all that really seems true.

I ask God why,
Now I can cry,
I fall from the sky,
Curl up and then I die,
As I madly shake,
I begin to wake,
I look and see you,
Now I can be true,

Away, in the distance,
I hear the resistance,
In this dream,
Why can’t I scream?
I no that I love you,
It’s all that really seems true.
