Fear To The Core Poem by Max Buchanan

Fear To The Core

I promise you these are the last days
the rust will glow again
Hips will swing to the sound once more
at 33RPM
I can see and feel your every fear
it rattles me to my core
Let dreams build for years
slashing down the flaws
Marching for only hearts all true
that beat chests black and blue
The hearts that stretched their span
and then so quietly flew
I believe in the sweetness of your resonance
and its bough shaking breeze
Hope hurtled upwards
that fills my heart with seas
The gathering storm
and pure gust of ease
The way it flees
and washes over me
The shaking of blackness
its shaky weakened knees
buckling from the minor to major lift
then our true selves all free
