Fear Poem by Roneece Pieters

Fear

I like the way fear...

Wraps his arm around my waist

And takes control

Invading my thoughts without permission.

The way his lingering kiss in the morning

Makes me late for my dreams...

I simply cannot get enough of fear.

Chivalry is not dead.

He greets me with a bouquet of doubt

That smells fresh of life frustration.

And i hurry to place it in water.

So that my doubt may flourish.

Fear He's the big man in town

And i'm the city girl that captured him.

Its only been two months but sometimes

It feels as if we're married.

We walk the streets and he gently holds my hand

With fingers interlocked (lovers style)

Swinging it to and fro.

He walks me to my door and unlocks the door for me,

Never oversteps his boundaries

so i am the one to invite him in.

People say he's no good for me but they're just jealous.

Who does it better than fear these days?

Who can make you dropp to your knees in prayer like fear?

Who can make you want no other?

Who can make you need for nothing else?

Don't even think about it because i know.

Fear.

If i'm not careful i might fall in love

And now that i'm with him, it seems My ex, Trust, wants me back.

Isnt it funny?
