Faultline Poem by James Atkins

Faultline

How many times have I given up
How many times have I lied
How many times have I hurt you
I bet not as much as I've tried

How long will you let me go on
How many more cheeks can you turn
Why do you let me destroy us
Why do you think I don't learn

Do you know how it feels when my minds goes black
Do you know I can't think without light
Do you know that I don't mean to hit you
Do you know that I'd stop if you cried

It's important to me that you understand
It's your fault I'm the way that I am
If it wasn't for you I'd be able to live
The life of a clean, wholesome man.
