Fatigue Poem by Michelle Claus

Fatigue

in a league of its own
this drone fatigue
alas and alack
insomniac
I ache to sleep
but keep awake
cannot ignore
your grinding snore
seem un-alive
I strive to dream
companion night
a quiet sham
my pillow soft
a croft of willow
sift my cares
I dare to drift
please to fall
and lull me to zzz
