Father, I kissed a girl!
I noticed she always looked when I pass
I noticed the smile when I pass
I noticed the red lips as I pass
I felt I should not just pass
My friend encouraged me not to just pass
Her friend encouraged her to wink as I pass
We encouraged ourselves as I was about to pass
Father, I kissed a girl!
I felt she was happy when I touched
I felt the warmth when I touched
I felt my lips become red as they touched
I noticed our desire had just been touched
My friend encouraged me as I touched
Her friend encouraged her as she touched
We encouraged ourselves as we touched
Father, I kissed a girl!
We liked the tremor when we kissed
We liked the warmth when I touched
We liked our lips becoming red as we kissed
We noticed our desire to do more as we kissed
My friend encouraged me to do more as we kissed
Her friend encouraged her to do more as we kissed
We encouraged ourselves to do more as we kissed
Father, I kissed a girl!
We both liked it,
We both liked going beyond the kiss
It felt so wrong and so right
We are both sweet sixteen
But only I have to be jailed
The law protects her and not me
It says that I defiled her!
Obviously she will kiss many as I serve the state
An act of kissing captured by this narrative quite beautifully. I wonder what happened to the friends of the boy and the girl. Were they also rewarded in some way?
What a nice poem! It shows how the law can be unfair to the boy child! ! It is enlightening and I like it very much.

Aisha i feel your sentiments. Charles Dickens was not wrong to assert that ‘The law is such an ass’, while Socrates said that ‘law is the correct judgment of the state'. We watch in awe how the prevailing circumstances of the bill shall dictate the future of our children in grade 10 or form 2. Good piece, good thoughts in a poetic form.
