Familiar Things. Poem by SY Wong ...

Familiar Things.

Rating: 5.0

Come, let's get settled for some sleep
Now that the night is deep
Almost dawn, I think
We both need to sleep..(yawn)
(No doubt, sleep is beyond reach)
We have been arguing...
Now the cocks are starting to crow
With no beginning or end
Of some familiar things
You've got work in the morning
So do I
I think the kids are fast asleep
Hopefully, they aren't awake
What if the neighbors heard our arguments and don't believe
We are almost perfect, that's what they think
And our marriage's heaven made
So please stop and go to sleep.
