Fallen Brothers Poem by Ethan Connolly

Fallen Brothers

For our fallen brothers
In the fallen war zones
Who lay,
Waiting for judgement day.
They left for the war
That was only meant to last
Till Christmas.
They kissed their mothers
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Did they know
It would be their last?
The last time they saw their mothers,
Or their wives,
Or the faithful dog
Waiting on the door step.
This was the war
To end all wars
That was only meant to last
Till Christmas.
Rest in piece
our fallen brothers.

A heartfelt tribute to the fallen heroes who courageously gave up their lives in defense of mother land. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. ➕9
