Fallen Angel Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Fallen Angel

Rating: 4.0

In this world, this fallen angel has walked alone for so long, another day won't make a difference,
on the morning light I shall fade away to wake in the midnight sun,
for this night is not mine,
I shall seek the end of night and tarry not,
Wrapped in my broken wings of despair and solitude,
I find my own solace, my own peace of mind as I travel this weary journey alone.
She has gone and came again but to hear the hollow knocking and the empty footsteps…
When twilight shows its colors of amethyst and rose with golden threads, the world will start to turn and fade as the weary seek peace and oblivious rest, while the night walkers awaken with newfound eyes,
She has gone and came again but to hear once more the hollow knocking and the empty footsteps,
she turns once more a blind eye to this twilight world, where colors seep and bleed together, once more she awaits the darkness from which she was born, for the night is hers forevermore...

I gave this a 9 for its creativity and its essence as a special read. I would hasve preferred more clarity. But there is enough here to value anyway. GW62
