Fall Poem by Varna Soyokaze

Fall

Rating: 5.0

When the trees let off their leaves,
And greens turn to mild yellow.
When nights infuses a sense of crispness,
And days are turning a calm mellow.
Life celebrates the beginning of the end.

Time is tickling slower;
World is harvesting the autumn flair.
Candle scent, warm coffee, soft tones,
Uncertainty, change, ambiguity in the air.
And the leaves, Fall, Gently, Slowly, Fall...

For me, Fall is when we fall
For me, Fall is when we are enticed
For me, Fall is when we meet
For me, Fall is when melancholy embraces
Greens don't stay forever, So I let you go -

But again,
When the sun gets softer,
The leaves turn crimson,
The night seeps longer,
The breeze gets brisk,
Will you fall for me again?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Waking up on a fall morning, with the golden morning rays embracing my face, I felt his warm embrace grow a little colder. While bidding farewell, his kiss was more of an yearning with a pinch of realization of the little time we have left. The seasons will soon come to an end, and we will let go of each other, as it was meant to be. But then when we cross paths again, will he fall for me again, like we did, years ago and this time as well? (Couldnt get this thought out of my head, until I kept aside my laptop and penned down this poetry while basking in the warm sunlight peeping into the room from the window)
