Fairy Lady Poem by Jeri Martindale

Fairy Lady

Come to me my small friend,
Sit here in the palm of my hand.
I won't hurt you like most will,
I am not scared, are you?
Hold me as I held you,
What I want is not much,
Just to be happy, to be loved, to be touched.
I never get it, no matter how much I ask;
So finally I give up and ask no more.

I get it with the help of my small friend.
She comes along with me wherever I go.
She helps me a lot, I get what I want.
Even when I am asleep she is there.
She sings to me and makes me smile.
I have always wanted a small friend,
That I could take anywhere in the palm of my hand.
