When I bid adieu to this scene sunny, glorious,
Equally glorious or even more glorious scenes would greet me
When I express this wish, I visualize derisive smiles shot at me
With public denunciation, declaring me a victim of vanity,
A vain idle dreamer, an absolute Zero, definitely on the decline
I boldly dream of mortality slipping into immortality, a fond dream human
None can forbid me my wild longings hallowed which the entire Humanity yearn
Of all beings, Man is perhaps the only being privileged to dream magnificent, solemn
Man can sing and soar up, either singly or in chorus, hilariously serene
Exalt existence with harp and lyre, lit with awe, love genuine
