Everyday Poem by morgana watson

Everyday

Every day the sun rose,
And every day flew the crows,
And every day the river flowed,
And every day the grass grows,
And every day you smiled,
And every day you laughed,
And every day you spread around joy
Until it was your time at last.
And, yet, the sun still rises,
And, yet, the crows still fly,
And, yet, the river still flows,
And, yet, the grass still grows.
But, you do not smile,
And you do not laugh,
And you do not joke,
And you do not hoax,
But I am glad you were able to do all of those things
Up until the day you past.
