Every time I try to not think about you
you seem to ease into my mind
permeating my senses
and stopping me in time
The more I try not
to think about what you left me
I begin to think about
all those happy memories

When I try not to think about you
it seems you are at every corner
and when I try to think of other things
It makes me want to mourn for you more
When I begin to go to sleep
staying up late till my eyes gently close
it seems that you are the last thing
that my mind has chose

Every time I try not to think about you
it seems that its the last thing I want to do
maybe I want to keep all those memories
that I shared with you
But this is a futile effort
in hopes that I'll forget about you
because it seems that
Every time I try to not think about you
I begin to think about
all those happy memories
