Evanescence
the heart fears
the loss of someone
so loved

would we lose all memory
a loved one lost to eternity
in moments
like a rainbow in the sky
after a brief rainy storm
just comes and vanishes
in a moment

like the rainbow
across the Niagara mist
does
Evanescent
sense of fragrance it does leave

but fading memory a fear breeds

will ye forget
the one that came
but now has gone

a young one
just of three days
only
lost her mommy

she will never recall
such is life's gift
