Eternity Poem by Paul Butters

Eternity

Eternity for me,
Yes Immortality,
But others disagree,
Totally.

They don’t believe in God,
And Life is such a strife,
We each live on our tod,
Unless we have a wife.

They won’t have any kids,
Not to be born into this.
One Life’s enough they say
And send me on my way.

Yet I don’t want to die,
Though I can’t give a reason why.
Oblivion has no appeal.
Well, that’s just how I feel.
