Entangled Souls Poem by Leslie Alexis

Entangled Souls

Ever so often, the heavenly bodies align perfectly
God smiles, and the world gets peace
There are:
No storms,
No floods,
No sorrow,
No death.
Ever so often-
In a perfect world.

It was then that our souls met.
For what we have -
Is perfect...
As far as perfect goes,
We lack nothing.

No,
We did not meet in the time of corruptible man.
No, we did not,
But in the beginning,
In the time of creation -
With the forming of the earth
And the making of night and day,
Came the fusion of our souls.

Hand in hand we walk
Though far apart -
Together always,
We thread over obstacles that men put in our way.
Minuscule are their nature,
For with our God-given love
they are surmountable.

I love you
