English can sometime be tough
Words may appears to be from the same bought
Each sound by hearing can bring different thought
Best hidden behind a hiccough or cough

English tongues a language we all speak
Why is break not rhyme with freak?
If i speak of my foot and show you my feet
And i give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?

Dreadful words look like dear and sounds like bird
Is it say like bed not bead
So be careful of how you speak
Say break and stake, but bleak and streak

Billet does not rhyme with ballet
Bouquet, wallet, mallet and chalet
Rivel, rival, tomb, bomb and comb
Are they same with doll, roll, some and home?

Now first of all say finger
Then singer, ginger and linger
Think of horse, dose and lose
And goose and yet think of choose

A moth is not the moth in mother
Like wise broth is not the broth in brother
For some words are so risky
As they appear so tricky

Blood, food and good
Mould is not pronounced like could
A dreadful language man live
I master it when i was five

Work, cork, card and ward
Font, front, word and sword
Dost lost post and loth
Job, nob, cloth and oath

Think of dies, lord and words
Are they same with diet, sward, and sword?
Don't mumble this ending into your beard
This poem should be seen rather than heard

For many fall into it trap and became it prey
This cost them many or bunch of pain
Some might even try and hail
For the language they all fail
