Emptiness Poem by Sicelo Sithole

Emptiness

At that moment…
I felt all the emptiness
I…
felt all the emptiness of the days
that held back
my memories of youth
all my dreams and ambitions
I felt the emptiness
I felt the emptiness

I felt the emptiness
And I didn’t know why…

Ah, this is the emptiness that your father warned you against, as I read in your poem about him. It is a strange feeling not to 'know why'. Most people experience it to a degree, but only those with poetry in their soul define it, explore it, describe it - but few know how to overcome it. Your father helped you recognise it and get past it. It will return, but with your maturity, intelligence, will power and ability to fly spiritually, you will overcome it each time.
