Emily's Bridge Poem by Ima Ryma

Emily's Bridge

'Emily's Bridge' in Stowe, Vermont.
Who was Emily is not known.
Emily's ghost is said to haunt,
As dusk turns into darkness zone.
Some say Emily was in love,
But on that bridge ill fate was sent.
There are differing accounts of
Suicide or an accident.
Sounds of screamings, some do attest,
The banging on cars passing by.
Emily's spirit cannot rest.
The living only wonder why.

If you are on the bridge, beware.
Emily might just scratch you there.
