Elixir Poem by Sheena Datta

Elixir

unwilling at times and helpless at other
I still gulp you down resignedly
the bond we share is such
I end up not just living you but being you

those who reject and shun you repeatedly
by branding you akin to poison
I knit them in an unbreakable bond
morphing them into elixir

you lose you demeanor
like the shallow waves of the sea
that is when I withdraw into my shell
and drown myself on the shore you breathe your last

this poem is far different from other poems and has taken care to include something more than ones own shadow.hope dreams are flying high...
