El Nino Poem by Josey Alfred

El Nino

We hate her come, even just near
She is as much a curse on all.
'May be someone has burned, more gas!
Or else someone has spewed, more smoke! '

She is too warm, we feel her heat,
Even from far she dries our crops
She dries the clouds bringing the rain
And cause starvation deaths, frequent.

And bring in insects, they ruin crops.
And bring mosquitoes, know not, from where?
And cause dengue and malaria, to spread
And cause misery, pain and even death.

She is El Nino, from Pacific vast,
She slide and cause harm to our nest
We yield to it, as we are helpless.
To curtail the gas and smoke, excess.
