Echos From The Grave Poem by Quincy Moses

Echos From The Grave

Let me drown in this bottle as my truth spills
Let my pain echo from the walls of my heart
caged like a bird
raised like a dog
I did follow orders

Kept to myself
curses filled my tongue
Hid my true self
and buried my dreams

Drowning in failure
No one to talk to
Wrote my pain on paper

Said a word
That was a mistake
In need of a life saver

Roses on my grave
Buried six feet
I wasn't brave enough
