Early Works - A Man With A Broken Heart Poem by David Harris

Early Works - A Man With A Broken Heart

I feel no pain within my mortal wound
and there is no love with my womb
I am a soul lost from salvation
with nowhere to go for conversation.
I’m like a ship floundered on rocks
with a heart cast into stocks
for I’ve fallen foul
to a heart with no love or soul
I am a man with a broken heart.
