Eagles Dance Poem by Trenton Anderson

Eagles Dance

She danced through the night like an eagle in the sky.
Her feather would flutter and twirl and spin,
All he could do was gaze in awe.
As she flew over to him he stuck out his hand
and bowed deep to the floor.
“Would you have this dance my fine feathered friend? ”
He asked with a grin.
She giggled and curtsied but accepted his hand.
They chirped and tweeted until early dawn.
Never stopping for any song.
Then, at first light, the spell was broken
like eagles they fell from up high in the sky.
But like eagles again they stopped just in time
before the cold splash of the world beyond.
They clasped their talons and built a nest.
Married forever, never to part.
