Due To Our Greed For Money Poem by Francis Duggan

Due To Our Greed For Money

Some species of wild duck are born to dabble in shallow lakes for their food and others are born to dive
Most creatures have different ways of finding their food to survive
In Nature most creatures designed to survive in their environment though a lot of natural habitatus humans destroy
For development due to our greed for money we endanger the existence of creatures that bring us great joy
The World is for us humans to live in and with other creatures to share
But so few of us sad to say are not in any way environmentally aware
What we do unto ourEarth Mother unto our own selves we do
And this applies to everybody and everybody includes me and you
So many creatures due to us humans extinct or endangered though many does not see this as a sense of shame
Due to our greed for money in our Human World the main source of success and fame
Each species of wildlife have their own ways of surviving but with their natural environment we interfere
And of this we have nothing for to feel proud of or any reason for to cheer
But what we do to the Earth that feeds us to our own selves we do
And this applies to everybody and this does include me and you
