Due To Feral And Domestic Cats Poem by Francis Duggan

Due To Feral And Domestic Cats

Due to feral and domestic cats small animals and birds are injured and dying every day
Though this is not the cats fault to them all small creatures are prey
They should be in wired in enclosures and not roaming free
The damage they inflict on birds and small creatures a sad sight to see
Irresponsible cat owners for damage by their cats to wildlife are wholly for to blame
Hunting and killing to cats is natural since they do not have a sense of shame
Wildlife under pressure from Climate Change and destruction of their habitat by humans for financial gain
And add to this predation by foxes and cats for their dwindling numbers goes in some way to explain
The damage cats do to small creatures does not make for a pretty sight
They should be kept in escape free enclosures by day and by night
One can hardly blame cats for the damage to wildlife they do
If you are an irresponsible cat owner the guilty one is you..
