Drowning In Thirst Poem by Mehreen Mujeeb

Drowning In Thirst

Rating: 5.0

My clouds keep getting heavier
Please tell me if they’re clouds
Or just mist floating by
What lies in those clouds
Feels stranger to I

My thunder keeps getting louder
So loud
I cannot hear
I don’t know if I hear silence
Or sound I fear

My lightening blinds me
So bright
I cannot see
If I’m blinded by darkness
Or light

I don’t know what’s wrong
Something I thought I felt
Was but a disguise not for long
I don’t know what flows in my blood
Am I a drought or a flood?
