Drippy Nose
by Ted L Glines
My dog has a long and drippy nose,
it runs ahead where ever he goes,
runny runny runny nose.
I know I'm being a little perverse,
putting something like this into rhyme and verse,
but it surely could be very much worse,
it could be about a pig in a purse!
Or it could be about unrequited love,
and pain that steals the stars from above,
or it could be an ode to a hand in a glove
or a fish or a horse or a little white dove.
- but -
It's about my dawg and his snotty nose
which dashes ahead where ever he goes,
dratted dogone runny nose!
I run and I run as fast as I dare,
as he's blowing spots all over my hair.
'But I can't complain, ' I say with a flair;
in spite of his faults, he just wants to share!
Someone got a doggie kleenex?
Author's Notes: Chuckle. Sometimes you just don't want to burden yourself with anything meaningful ...
