Drifting Into Dreamland Poem by norman hale

Drifting Into Dreamland

Under The light of the moon
Where stars twinkle bright
Children drift in sweet dreams
All through the night

The children will play hide-and-seek
Until it's time to go to bed
Then they'll get all dressed
Before they lay down their weary heads

The fairies drift down
Following the light of the stars
As they are drifting away
Like lights of passing cars

In their little dreams
Way off into dreamland
They skip and they jump
While holding a fairies hand

As they glide a long
Across the sky and the milky way
Their little hearts are pounding
Until the break of day

It's then they wake
From that distant dream
Yawning and stretching to morning
With a full head of steam

Yes, under the light of the moon
The children are snuggled in tight
Drifting way off in dreamland
Until dawns early light

So get in your bed
And drift off into dreamland
As you drift off into sleep mode
A fairy will lead you by the hand
