Dreams Return Poem by Razya Sultana

Dreams Return

Looking back down the memory lane
I never saw the sun at my window pane.
Dreams returning to the homes they know
Slipping off the tide and its flow.
Blindly maps are being decorated
For the roads seemed to have faded.
Let's wipe off the mist on my path
Never leave behind my strong faith.
Opened doors to see if I can start
Be the same and play my part.
I took away all that god left to me
I was asked to try, so I shall surely see.
Even if there comes a closed road
I shall climb the wall and go ahead.
The beginning has stopped at my door
I take it and get dirty to find more.
Forget all the straight forward concepts
Catch the world where dream and reality intersects.
I set myself on this thorny street
I shall survive difficulties but never taste defeat.
For my dreams have thrown down a rope
To reach the world of wish and hope.
So, I shall surely get there
Without a stop anywhere
