Dreams

Don’t be comfortable with the way things seem
Merely content with such and so
Living buried beneath your current situations snow
Leave your mundane, dull, and uncertain regime
Come up with a grand scheme
Where you’ll leave this world’s mainstream
And shine brighter than a laser beam
Joining life’s All-Star team
Don’t just lie low
Perform better than a Broadway show
Travel to distant places like Bordeaux
Paint better pictures than Vincent Van Gogh
Compose better than Henry David Thoreau
Because you’ll simply don’t know
The amazing places you can go
So in this life, don’t be caged up like a guinea pig
Be a superhero in strife
Because in this life
You can’t be afraid to dream big!

Poem of the Day

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
