Dreamland Poem by Juan Olivarez

Dreamland

Close your eyes my little one,
Your head is nodding fast.
Your busy day at last is done,
Dreamland is here at last.

Your angelic face is all aglow,
As you drift off into sleep.
And now your dreams begin to flow,
There was no need for counting sheep.

Sleep now, you are safe,
Your grandpa can understand.
No you are not a homeless waif,
But you were a busy little man.

For all my grandkids, Juan Diego, Noah Joaquin, Mauricio Sebastian,
and the littlest Olivarez of all Roman Navarro.
