Dreamland Poem by Sarah Frederick

Dreamland

Rating: 5.0

I live in a world where animals can talk
And where plants grow freely.

I live in a world where I can fly away from anything
And where i don't have to listen to things I don't want to.

I live in a world where sadness doesn't exist
And where anger is unheard of.

I live in a world full of artists and happiness.
I live in a world where I'm free to love who I want
And where I can have a relationship without any obstacles.

I live in a world where fishes can fly
And where death is not real.

I live in a world where hate is never around
And where love is frequent.

I live in a world of my dreams,
A world of light, peace, and unity.

I wake up
And I once again live in a world where crimes happen too often
And where hate, anger, and sadness occur more than love and joy.

I wake up
And see what has happened,
And long to be in that world of my dreams,
Where none of this happens...
Where I'm free to be me, free of everything.

Free...
Just free...
