When I see him by the bar
twinkling eyes from lands afar,
I see my heart so skip with glee
bubbling laughter springing free,
Oh! I fancy him today!
I talk and talk till words depart
A tranquil stillness grips my heart,
dreams in eyes as words become
that silent stillness, times to come,
Oh! I fancy him today!
As I see the time to leave
my twiching heart then takes a heave,
bang I rise to reach the door
grabbing shoes and coat before,
Oh! I fancy him today!
I dance I skip, I twirl in red
I smile I sing, in dreams I dread,
I gasp and blink my dreams away
and grasp the desk to halt my sway,
Oh! I fancy him today!
