Drain It All Away Poem by Nate Jones

Drain It All Away

you say you love me
was always met to be
but your eyes
beaming with lies
tell a different story
just like purgatory
flaming with anger
endless hunger
burning with hate
i can wait
makes me not trust
your sincerity
faith has turn to dust
no more deity
your just wanting someone
to do your dirty work
to let it all come undone
you like to see others hurt
you want somebody to control
to take hold, your enthralled
so it makes you feel like god
i think its quit odd
power over all my body and mind
you won't ever again find
but you will never get my heart
and throw me as a dart
becase it's to precious
innocence is priceless
to give away carelessly
and hopelessly
to someone who will drain
it all away
puncture me with pain
and decay
so none is left for the rest
of my hollow and ruined existence
i have to do my best
and fill up the emptiness
in this universe, unholyness, and despair
nobody seems to care
so just find true love
from a flying dove
the road we must pave
and rest forever in your grave.
