Downfall Poem by Mitwaly Osman

Downfall

I regret every cent
That's been spent
To not reach where I am today.

It seems like
My whole life
Was nothing but
A wrong decision,
That only led
To lower positions.

Neither knowledge,
nor hardwork
Or sticking to morals
In this world
Works these days

If only I wish
Before I die
To never exist
And with my eye,
God, I witness
The downfall of us all.

My faith in humans
Can't be restored,
But only in Thee
Oh Merciful Lord,
You'd be able
To change everything

If we're not worthy
of Thine mercy
Then tell me why
are we living?

Are we prepared for Thee yet?
