Doomsday Poem by Sirajali Kalima

Doomsday

Ecstatic it may seem
its venom hides within,
unprecious pebbles we are keen to pick
but really we're standing on the edge of the cliff,
millions of stars lits up the vast heaven
but we're not so curious about whats truly hidden,
still hand in hand we walk with the devious stranger
in a land of vices + mayhem + short lived expectation,
'do we stop and wonder'
'why it really thunders',
'observe and ponder'
'why earthquakes rips through with anger',
our heart detects
but we are too eager 2 reject,
we free-sail through prohibited zones
drowning further down towards the fiery smoke.

Its not human nature
rather, blame our selfish desires,
as the hour draws closer
the sky trembles with fear,
the flames of our imaan gets weaker
and still, theres no tear,
the signs are clear
doomsday is near
