Donna, Just For You... Poem by Anashree Nash

Donna, Just For You...

The unicorns beauty
Captured your eye
As it glided from the heavens.

And to your awe, not far behind,
Was the most beautiful
Golden chariot illuminating the sky's.

And you stood hesitantly
As the doors opened
And you were asked to step in.

You stood between
Two worlds
Uncertain which to trust.

Until a hand reached out
To wipe your tears
And you recognised her touch.

Your saddened face
Lit up with once more
With your sweetest smile.

Your angel whom you
Longed to meet asked
For you to take a seat.

Safe in the arms
Of your sister Denise
A new journey awaited you.

From a distance you hear the words
"I am sorry my angel",
In the most humble tone...

Let me be the first to
Walk you through heavens gates
Says the same warm voice.

The brightness of his presence
Radiated the entire heavens,
The most astounding sight.

His hand reached out to you
And before you stood
God himself to welcome you.

You placed your hand in his
And took your first step
Into heavens abode.

Each angel took their place
To form a guard of honour
Just to welcome you.

The angels danced
And sang with glee
The heavens played a symphony.

The flowers and butterflies
Surrounded you as
You gazed at heavens beauty.

As God sat you down in
The gardens of heaven
He straightened your crown and said...

My sweet princess
My beautiful Donna
You are now safest with me,

Stop pondering of
The world you left behind
I will set things clear.

Don't be fooled
By my placid nature
That is only for you.

You will see my wrath
For all those who deceived you
The pitts of hell for them await.

No plea, no prayer
Will set them free for
They have sealed their fate.

Your cries were heard
In the heavens
Not a thing is not noticed by me.

I understood your silence
I have felt your pain
You are my child, Your name shall not be stained.

I know you and your family,
Have many many questions for me,
How do I answer thee...

How can I answer the questions,
For the foolish mistakes
That people make?

I have brought
You home for you are
The safest with me.

I am your judge,
I am your jury,
I am your advocate.

Justice will be served
In the highest court
Of the heavens just for you.

The love from your family
Is now the sun
In your heavens sky.

You will miss them a whole lot
And your baby girls too, but my
Sweetness, they miss you a whole lot too.

You can visit whenever you wish
And remember to place
Your kiss upon their face.

Wrap your arms around them
Hold them tightly in your embrace
Show them that you are safe.

And you smiled
And your soul lit up
Knowing gods love for you is true.

Your soul will live on forever
Your smile will light up
The heavens sky.

And one fine day
You too will welcome
Your family at heavens gates.

The stars shimmer and dazzle
Like no other sight
That's our Donna, lighting up the night.
