Don't Try To Climb Within My Dreams

Rating: 5.0

I walked alone through darkened bowers
eyes downcast and shifting leaves,
A parapetof fragrant flowers
my thoughts my own except for thieves

Don't try to climb within my dreams.
They are not yours to violate.
To steal and claim them, only seems
to shatter and annihilate

To rob me of my secret musings
leaves me in a void unseen,
the dreams I own that fly on wings
to places I have never been.

I dream of times and places where
a brotherhood exists for all,
and laughter, love and life we share,
where hands reach out when er'e we fall

Don't take this dream, this soothing balm,
leave it intact for me to hold.
When life is cruel it brings me calm
with loving magic me enfold.

Don't try to climb within my dreams.
You need to try to make your own.
Use my examples by all means
but leave my precious dreams alone!
