Don'T Shed A Tear Poem by Tina Mack

Don'T Shed A Tear

If I wasn’t here, please don’t shed a tear.
If I wasn’t here there would be no more pain.
I wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone,
I wouldn’t be able to make you mad.
Look at the pain I have caused,
I am so very sorry, I never meant to hurt you.
Just didn’t think, like always,
You’d think I’d learn my lesson.
Look at the pain I’ve caused, I’ve made you so unhappy.
No matter how many “I’m sorries” I say,
I can’t make that pain go away.
I wish I were never here,
There would be no need to shed a tear.
Tired of causing misery and making you cry,
Why must I cause you heartache?
Why must I constantly make you ask “ why ”?
I wish I were never here.
There would be no need to shed a tear.
With a pot of gold in my hand, I threw it all away.
For my own selfish desires, I have to pay one day.
