Don'T Mention Of Love To Jacko Poem by Francis Duggan

Don'T Mention Of Love To Jacko

Don't mention of love to Jacko since love has gone out of his life
Talk of love makes him feel bitter since he was dumped by Prudence his ex wife
For Eddy whom she loves better for him once bitten is twice shy
He will not be in a hurry for to give love one more try,
Talk to him of greyhound or horse racing talk to him of current affairs or football
Anything but love it would seem love is the last thing of all
That one should discuss with Jacko of love he has had enough
Because of love the past few months on him has been very tough,
Rejection in love causes bitter disappointment and there is mental pain in love ache
Falling in love in the first place for him he feels has been a mistake
If you mention love to Jacko he will leave you in no doubt
That this above all other subjects he does not wish to talk about,
Of love's bitter disappointment he knows of his ex wife she now lives with Ed
He says why should I waste time and money in dating women when I can visit a brothel instead.
